You see…once upon a time, I was a graphic designer with a competitive resume, my career growing steadily.

But becoming a mother to a child with serious medical challenges disrupted my life in the most difficult and beautiful way. 

I made the choice to set aside my career and care for my son, day and night. It was a season of sacrifice, filled with love, exhaustion, and countless moments where I forgot what it felt like to do something just for me.

Eventually, I found my groove again, and in those quiet moments, I began to crave a small corner of joy that belonged to me alone.

I didn’t want to abandon the life I’d built for my family, but I longed for something that felt like me—a little piece of happiness just for myself.

And for me, joy came from the most unexpected place – a simple sugar cookie.

Sounds silly, right?
